Dolphin and Bird-Watching

4 hours

1 June 2024, 10 a.m.

Organised by Meşher as part of the exhibition Istanbul as Far as the Eye Can See: Views across Five Centuries, the event series titled “Three Tales of a City: Streets, the Sky and the Sea” continues with a dolphin and bird-watching excursion along the Bosphorus. Inspired by the animals hidden in the details of the artworks, the event offers an opportunity to observe how Istanbul’s inhabitants, who live in the sea and soar in the sky, experience the city, and to reflect on seeing the city through their eyes.
The free event, in collaboration with the Turkish Marine Research Foundation (TÜDAV), will take place on a boat departing from the Beykoz Korusu at 10 a.m. on Saturday, 1 June. TÜDAV experts will provide information about various dolphin and bird species in the Bosphorus during the observation on the northern shores of Bosphorus. The event will last approximately four hours and will end in Beykoz.
Please be advised that registration for the event can be made for one person via the email address kayit@mesher.org.
