The topic of the conversation is a current exhibition at Meşher in Istanbul, titled Istanbul As Far As the Eye Can See: Views from Five Centuries. The panoramic and wide-angled images, all drawn from the Ömer Koç Collection, reveal familiar and unfamiliar aspects of this fabled city. As part of the exhibition Istanbul as Far as the Eye Can See: Views across Five Centuries, prominent figures from the fields of history, photography, performing arts, literature, music and visual arts gathered at the “Associations” panel, organised on 5 January, at the Koç University Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations (ANAMED). Aiming to present perspectives on Istanbul from various disciplines, the panel featured Latife Tekin, Murat Germen, Dikmen Gürün, Cem Behar, Murat Belge and Gülsün Karamustafa, who shared their personal associations inspired by the exhibition. Zeynep Çelik delivered the closing speech.
