The exhibition catalogue, published both in Turkish and English, comprises fascinating essays, each articulating a unique manner of reading and interpreting the exhibition. Following an introduction by Zeynep Çelik, it offers curatorial pieces by Şeyda Çetin and Ebru Esra Satıcı, respectively titled “Just Like in the Books!” and “Lines of Istanbul”, along with “Framing Istanbul: Depictions of a Fluid City in Western Literature”, penned by Kaya Genç, and “A Fantastical Representation of Istanbul from Literature to Cinema: Baron Münchhausen”, authored by Melis Behlil. Moreover, it harbours a piece titled “The Immortal Istanbul” by the late Selim İleri, who sadly passed away very recently, discussing the books in the selection that played a significant part in his personal life story. All the other catalogue texts were written by Şeyda Çetin, Ebru Esra Satıcı and Sven Becker.
