The event, which is being held as part of the exhibition I am Nobody. Are You Nobody Too?, is inspired by the myth of Narcissus and Echo. The talk, organized in collaboration with the Empower with Nature and presented by Maya Galimidi and Mine Küçük, focuses on human’s self-discovery in nature.
This event explores the relationships between the animate and inanimate, sensual and mineral, human and non-human in terms of the ecological identity.

Maya Galimidi
Maya Galimidi is the founder of Empower with Nature, a non-governmental organization involved in multidisciplinary education and project management, as well as the International Ambassador for the Global Ecovillage Network. She is pursuing an M.A. in the program of Ecology and Spirituality at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. Galimidi worked in London, New York, Istanbul, and the Negev Desert after graduating from Istanbul Bilgi University with a double major in Public Relations and Performing and Fine Arts Management. She designed and organized international conferences on Wall Street capital markets, health services, human resources, marketing, and digitalization for the copper industry and public sector in 30 countries for 15 years, while working for politicians such as George W. Bush and Colin Powell. Galimidi worked as a Global Business Developer with the Kibbutz Lotan Collective Farm's Creative Ecology Center after receiving a Permaculture Design Certificate from Kibbutz Lotan. She created projects on ecological tourism, ecological peace-building, and eco-schools in the Middle East and Brazil, as well as ecological training programs at European and American universities. Galimidi is currently a climate movement mentor at the US Department of State's Techcamp.
Mine Küçük
Mine Küçük graduated from Istanbul University's Department of Prehistory. During her undergraduate studies, she worked with early bronze age materials in the Troya ancient city. She earned her M.A. in multidisciplinary archeology and museology at Minnesota University. During her college years, she interned at the Istanbul Archeology Museum, the Science Museum of Minnesota, and the Bermuda Maritime Museum. She worked as a content specialist and exhibition developer for the archeology department at the Science Museum of Minnesota after completing her M.A., and was assigned as project manager for the Museum's activities at the Çatalhöyük archeological site. When she returned to Istanbul, she worked as a content developer and coordinator in European Union projects with a Swedish partner institution. She taught museology at the universities of Yeditepe, Işık, and Mimar Sinan. Between 2009 and 2019, she provided guide training in the biennales organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts. Küçük, an independent researcher and specialist, currently designs educational programs for a variety of institutions, schools, and foundations, as well as serving as a consultant and curator.
